Bio
Ben Shaw is a singer-songwriter based in Joshua Tree, California. Ben's music is emotionally driven, heavy folk. His delicate melodies are sung with barroom grit where cinematic lyrics are painted on sonic tapestries.
In 2016, after a decade or so of avoiding the spotlight, Ben released Feet to the Fire, his first full length album in over 15 years.
As a follow-up to Feet to the Fire, in April 2018, Ben recorded his follow-up record, Bonita, at Pine Hollow Studios in Eau Claire, WI with Producer Evan Middlesworth (The National). The album was released in August 2018.
Ben has also released several singles and been featured on projects by other artists.
Ben's rock opera, The Iciclist, released on Halloween 2025.
Ben has performed solo or with a full band in a variety of venues: coffee houses, house concerts, music bars, theaters, and music festivals.
Ben is also one half of the psychedelic Americana duo, Ghost Words.
